350 Seventh Street, Hoboken, NJ

Our clients were unable to organize and furnish their Hoboken loft they resided in as a result of the number, spacing and differing sizes of interior columns, chases and beams. Our design solution introduced a two-story cabinet to define both visually and via the use of its enclosed functions, areas for living, dining, a mezzanine home library and guest area. The cabinet conceals the projection TV, audio systems and media storage, a wine cooler, library shelving and closets with a pull out sofa bed at the far end of the mezzanine.

Sliding wood and glass doors were introduced to provide visual privacy to the formerly open master bath. The rotation of the kitchen plan enabled us to provide hood exhaust to the stove and to achieve a better dialogue with the main spaces. The clients initially described a desire for a Tuscan image with a somewhat more ornate kitchen.
